The packaging regulations for seamless steel pipes are basically divided into two categories: one is general-purpose bundling machines, and the other is the transportation of containers with similar plastic turnover boxes.
Baler packaging
(1) Seamless steel pipes should be prevented from being damaged during the entire process of bundling and transportation, and the identification plate of the bundling machine should be unified and consistent.
(2) The same bundle of seamless steel pipes should be seamless steel pipes with the same furnace number (production batch number), steel grade, and specification model. It is not allowed to mix furnaces (production batch number) with bundling machines. If there is less than one bundle, it should be made into several bundles.
(3) The net weight of each bundle of seamless steel pipes shall not exceed 50kg. With the customer’s permission, the bundle weight can be lifted, but the weight cannot exceed 80kg.
(4) When using a flat end seamless steel pipe bundling machine, one end should be aligned, and the distance between the two ends should be less than 20mm. The length difference of each bundle of seamless steel pipes should be less than 10mm. However, the length difference of each bundle of seamless steel pipes ordered according to the general length should be less than 5mm, and the length difference of the second longest bundle of seamless steel pipes should not exceed 10mm.
Baler mode
If the length of seamless steel pipes is greater than or equal to 6 meters, 8 less binding straps will be tied in each bundle, divided into 3 groups, forming 3-2-3. If the length of seamless steel pipes is less than 6 meters, 5 less binding straps will be tied in each bundle, divided into 3 groups. The plan view of the steel part of the fixed length seamless steel pipe bundling machine for seamless steel pipes with a length greater than or equal to 5 meters. If the length of seamless steel pipes is greater than or equal to 3 meters, 3 less binding straps will be tied in each bundle, divided into 3 groups. When there are special requirements for the steel strip plan of the fixed length seamless steel pipe bundling machine with a length of more than or equal to 6 meters, 4 plastic snap rings or plastic rope rings can be added to a single seamless steel pipe. The snap rings or rope rings should be firmly tied and should not loosen or fall off during the entire transportation process.
Container packaging
(1) Hot-rolled or cold-drawn seamless splicing seamless steel pipes, hot-rolled stainless steel seamless steel pipes with surface polishing, can be packaged in containers (such as plastic boxes and wooden boxes).
(2) The net weight of the packaged utensils should meet the requirements. After consultation between Party A and Party B, the net weight of each vessel can be increased.
(3) When seamless steel pipes are loaded into containers, the inner cavity of the container should be padded with cardboard, plastic film, or other waterproof sheets. The utensils should be tight and not suitable for leakage.
(4) For seamless steel pipes used for container packaging, an identification plate should be attached inside the container. A signboard should also be hung on the outer surface of the vessel.
(5) Seamless steel pipes have unique packaging regulations and should be agreed upon by both parties.
